Go for a Ride or Learn to Fly

Buying a balloon ride yourself is the quickest way to learn the sport. Ask to help with inflation and deflation—most passengers love pitching in, and it makes the experience better. Bring a camera. Flights usually last about an hour; allow 2–3 hours for the whole outing. Flights are scheduled at dawn or dusk when winds are calm. The pilots listed below are commercially rated to provide rides and flight instruction in the Sioux Falls area; contact them directly for availability and details.
